In a typical school year, many of us from New City would be at our partner schools working with students on literacy and math skills. This year has looked a little bit different, but you can still connect with students and support their learning in the virtual environment even as the need is greater than ever. If you have one hour per week to devote to students, we encourage you to consider tutoring virtually.
Ways to tutor virtually
Heart Math Tutoring is the link between a huge, untapped pool of volunteers and the thousands of students who need one-on-one academic support.
The Virtual HELPS Literacy Program is an evidence-based, research-validated literacy intervention that is proven to build students’ fluency and comprehension reading skills. Serve for one hour each week to help transform a student’s life!
