Construction in the lobby of New City Matthews begins on Monday, March 17 and should take about four months to complete. The work will begin at the wall by the Community room, and later other areas of the lobby will be updated as well. We'll continue to use the main lobby throughout the project, but it may be a little messy and a bit cramped.

When the coffee shop space is ready, we will be partnering with a local coffee shop business who will run it on weekdays, serving drinks, smoothies, and pastries, and providing space for people in the community to sit and connect with friends or work. On Sunday mornings, we will use the facility to provide brewed coffee to our Matthews congregation.

As people come through our doors and find themselves in a comfortable, welcoming space, we have the opportunity to help them find and follow Jesus. We pray that this space will be a light to the community.
