Construction work has begun at City Co-Operative and NewCity Matthews, where we are making space for the mission of New City to help people find & follow Jesus.

At City Co-Op, a large former office space is being turned into nine dedicated office spaces and a conference room for ChurchxCity Counseling, and flexible offices and team working space for New City Staff.

ChurchxCity Counseling partners with churches to bring affordable, biblically based mental health counseling to Charlotte. As part of our Here, Near, & Far vision, New City is committed to partnerships with local ministries to address areas of pain in our city, including the mental health crisis.

Rebecca Woodman, the founder of ChurchxCity Counseling, says, “There is a devastating and undeniable need for the Church to become a hospital for the broken and emotional needs in our city. ChurchxCity Counseling is honored to link arms with New City Church to provide professional, biblically integrated counseling.”

Renovations at City Co-Op are expected to continue into the summer.

At New City Matthews, the main lobby is being renovated into a coffee shop, which will provide a space throughout the week for the community to sit and connect with friends or work. Learn more about the coffee shop vision here.
