Tutor with Augustine Literacy Project

Augustine Literacy Project (ALP) is recruiting reading tutors for the 2024–2025 school year. Tutors work with students in 1st-3rd grades who are at least one year behind in reading in under-resourced areas of Charlotte. One of New City's partner schools, Greenway Park Elementary, utilizes ALP tutors to help their students make strides forward in reading.

ALP provides training and support for all tutors. Training classes are scheduled during off business hours as well as during the week. Once trained, tutors can choose to tutor virtually or in-person. Explore the current training schedule.

There is no fee for training or materials for volunteer tutors.
